FamilyPrint is a Danish iPhone app for making photo books and photo calendars from your own photos. We print them and send them to a parcel shop near you, anywhere in Denmark. The app is free, and you only pay for what you order. About FamilyPrint

Get FamilyPrint on your iPhone and pick a book. Choose your photos and the app lays them out on the pages for you. Then you can move them around, change layouts, add text and give the pages a colour. When you're happy with it, you order in the app.

That's up to you. A book has 28 to 120 pages, with one to five photos on a page. As a rule of thumb, 40 to 120 photos fill a book nicely. You can add and remove pages as you go.

Yes. You can give the cover a title and choose pages with room for text, such as a heading or a few lines about the day. You type straight onto the page and see right away how it looks.

Yes, the app saves as you work. Your designs are on the app's front page, so you can carry on whenever you like. They're stored on your iPhone, so they disappear if you delete the app.

No, FamilyPrint is an iPhone app. You make the book or calendar in the app, from the photos on your phone and in iCloud.

Not yet. The app is for iPhone, and a design stays on the phone you made it on.

No, we print the book exactly as you made it. Leaf through it in the app before you order and look for typos and empty spaces.

Yes. Choose the number in the basket before you pay. Then the grandparents can have one too.

Yes. Enter the recipient's name and address when you order, and the book goes to a parcel shop near them.

When you edit a photo, the app shows how sharp it will print. Photos from a recent iPhone are sharp enough for a full page. If a photo is too small for its space, make it smaller or choose a layout with more photos.

Yes. The app fetches the full-size photo from iCloud when it needs it. Your phone just needs to be online.

You've probably given access to selected photos only. Open Settings on your iPhone and go to Apps › FamilyPrint › Photos. Choose Full Access.

A screen gives off light and paper doesn't, so printed photos often look a little darker and softer. Very dark photos get darker on paper, so pick the brighter ones.

Yes. Tap the photo and choose Rediger foto. There you can zoom and move it until it sits the way you want.

When a photo runs to the edge of the page, the printer trims a few millimetres so there are no white lines. Keep faces and text a little away from the edge.

Square and landscape books in several sizes, with a hard or soft cover. A hard cover is stiff and stands up to lots of reading. A soft cover is lighter and costs less. See the books, sizes and prices

28 to 120 pages, depending on the book. The price covers the smallest number of pages, and extra pages cost from DKK 5 per 2 pages.

Books are printed on 170 g silk paper with deep colours. Calendars are printed on heavier 250 g silk paper.

It has a cover and 12 months, starting in any month you like. Public holidays and week numbers are included, and you can add birthdays and other dates yourself. It has a wire binding and a hook, ready to hang. See the calendars

No, you choose the month it starts in. It can run from August to July, say, or start in the month you give it away.

Yes. Every month shows the week numbers and the Danish public holidays, so you don't have to add them yourself.

A tall, slim calendar with a line for every day, so the family can write in plans and birthdays. Each month has a photo at the top.

You pay in the app with a card, Apple Pay or MobilePay. Payments go through Stripe, so we never see your card number.

When you order. If you cancel within the first hour, we send the money back, and it reaches your account after a few banking days.

VAT is always included. Delivery is shown next to the price, and the price in the basket is the final price before you pay.

In the app under Konto › Bestillinger. It shows what you ordered, what it cost and how far along it is.

We print your book once you've ordered, and it's ready at a parcel shop near you 4–5 working days later. You can follow your order in the app.

To a GLS parcel shop near the address you enter when you order. The parcel waits at the shop for 7 days.

Open the app and go to Konto › Bestillinger. You can see whether the book is being printed, has been sent or has been delivered.

Not yet. We only ship to addresses in Denmark, and not to the Faroe Islands or Greenland.

Order photo books by Sunday 13 December and calendars by Tuesday 15 December for the parcel to arrive in time for Christmas.

First check the status in the app under Konto › Bestillinger. If the parcel isn't ready 4–5 working days after you ordered, or something looks wrong, write to us with your order number and we'll sort it out. Write to us

Yes, within the first hour after you order. Open the order in the app. Annullér gives you your money back. Rediger cancels the order and opens the book again, so you can change it and order again. Once the book has gone to print, it can't be changed.

Within the first hour, tap Rediger on the order and order again with the new address. After that we can't change it, but write to us as soon as you can and we'll see what we can do.

Your book is made from your own photos and text, so Danish consumer law gives no right of withdrawal. Our promise still holds: if you're not happy with the book, we print it again or give you your money back. Read about returns and complaints

No. You order without an account, and your designs and orders are kept in the app on your iPhone.

We only use your photos to make what you ordered, and we delete them 30 days after your order is closed. Read the privacy policy

Only us and the printer that prints your book. We don't share them with anyone else or use them for advertising.

Delete a design by holding your finger on it in the app. Delete them all at once under Konto › Slet kladder. To have the details of an order deleted, write to us.

iPhone with iOS 18 or later. There's no Android version yet.

Close the app completely and open it again. If that doesn't help, open Konto, tap Del fejllog and send it to us with a few words about what happened. Write to us
